The public transport “S-Bahn” as well as the local transport “Regional Express” and the Intercity Expresses (abbr. ICE) will stop at the new central station.
The Deutsche Bahn chef Hartmut Mehdorn announced the official station opening for May, 27th 2006, afternoon. Thus, a lot of additional trains will stop during the FIFA WM 2006 at this station and not at traditional stations such as “Zoologischer Garten”.
