openBC – not connected

Almost everyone knows Xing (formerly known as the openBC) (if not, you should know it now), a virtual internet platform for contacts and events. However, this platform has been increased rapidly and so the creators try to make (even more) money. In its early days, everything was for free – a great idea was used by some interested people believing in this idea. Nowadays, the membership is free (including contact and event management), but all interesting functions have to be paid. For instances, writing messages to your contacts is impossible w/o paying the monthly fee of 5.95 EUR. I think this destroys the freedom to use the platform. Especially students and pupils suffer from this fee. Thus, dear openBC maintainer, please think about this expensive decision.

You’re so right, but these marketing guys don’t know what they do. They think that higher fees will outweigh a smaller customer stock. But that might be a mistake – hopefully.
