Addresses trading is part of our business model…

Sitting in a presentation about the „Deutsche Post IT Solutions“ the discussion about address trading occurred. Finally, the speaker decided to acknowledge the address trading trend of the „Deutsche Post“. Even the postman are briefed to detect invalid addresses and report them explicitely back. This confirms the recently heard story, that forwarding request for mail are only acknowledged if the customer agrees to handle its data out. This data may also be provided to the GEZ (a central German organization to get fees for public TV and radio productions). People declining this agreement have to send multiple requests to stop the „Deutsche Post“ from aggregating their user information, but the forwarding request may take a longer time because of this — hrhr.

Again, a bad Idea!
