WMF2EPS for Windows Vista and Windows 7

I loved to use WMF2EPS for years with Windows XP. Now I need to run it with Windows Windows 7. But the installation of the virtual postscript printer driver failed. You have to edit the .inf file and add some vista specific fields (red lines).

Additionally, you may need to download the generic postscript drivers, e.g. from the adobe page and unzip the file. You need the following files from this archive:

  • PSCRIPT5.DLL,
  • PS5UI.DLL,
  • PSCRIPT.HLP,
  • PSCRIPT.NTF.

To make it easier, I repacked the installation files for the printer setup — you can download it here: WMF2EPS_postscript_printer_file_for_Windows_Vista.

As the help file for WMF2EPS is only supported by Windows XP you may need to look up the installation process. A summary can be found here, search for WMF2EPS. The mandatory printer settings are outlined in some screenshots.
